We are always seeking new volunteers to our ranks, particularly drivers, patient care providers, and administrative personnel. You don’t have to live within our service area because we have bunk rooms for members to sleep. We accept members with or without experience and provide all training.
Membership Types
Operational
Duties: Answers calls, EMS standbys, Fundraising Activities
Requirements: 12 duty hours a month, 1 fundraising event yearly, 2 EMS standbys yearly, 9 monthly business meetings attended yearly.
Administrative
Duties: Fundraising and logistics
Requirements: 12 hours monthly, 2 fundraising events
Juniors (15 - 17 Years Old)
Duties: Answer Calls, EMS standbys, Fundraising Activities
Requirements: 12 hours monthly, 1 fundraising event yearly, 2 EMS standbys yearly
To do a ride-along in the ambulance, Juniors need to be 16 years or older*
Application Process
Here are the steps to becoming a member of the Louisa County Rescue Squad:

- Virtual Meet and Greet with the recruitment officer(s).
- Optional Ride Along (crew availability dependent).
- Submit a completed Application for Membership.
- Complete a background check.
- Have your application voted on at the monthly business meeting.
